Another day in paradise!

I must say that today is a little more quiet. We had a little much to drink yesterday and we are taking it easy. We spent the day on the beach yesterday and probably will do the same today! Already starting to look like the locals! Love it!

Last night was our first night out of the resort and experienced a few hours in the bar close to the hotel. We didn't stay there very long. Gotta stay safe!

Arrival in Puerta Plata!

Hello everyone!
We have reached our destination! Well there are no words to to describe this weather other than very HOT!!! It is beautiful here and we have met fun people already!
The Casa Marina is a very nice place and we are looking foward to getting out and explore! We have almost found where everything is and now the real fun begins!
So far, all is going very well! We will be going on the Catamaran for a day this week and I can't wait for that!
Todays plans are taking in the sun, drinking and going out of touring in the town! I will be putting pictures up as soon as possible. We do not have the internet in our rooms so it makes it a little difficult to keep up to date. :(
Thinking all of you and wish you could be here with us instead of where you are! lol

Finally reunited after all these years!

I finally made it to Montreal safely after getting a little lost. It was great seeing my friend again and she surprised me by telling me that our other friend Sophie, was coming over to meet us. We had a few glasses of wine and got to catch up on a few years! Didn't feel like we were away from eachother for all those years.

Just a little weather info for all of you! When we arrive in Puerta Plata it should be around 31 degrees! This is the weather for the week! Woohoo! I will be thinking about all of you while I am having a pina colada on the beach! (and you are shoveling snow!) :)

The story behind this trip

Just a little over a month ago, I got back in touch with two great friends of mine through facebook. One of my friends was saying that she was leaving on a trip on november 15th and had no clue at that time, where she was going. She was a little nervous about traveling by herself but owed this trip to herself.



After catching up a little on the 10 years we haven't spoken, I asked my girlfriend again when she was going on her trip. I told her that if she didn't want to travel on her own that I would be more than happy to join her on this trip. I have to admit that she didn't seem to believe me at first. After convincing her that I was serious about joining her, she got a little excited and couldn't believe it.



It was about 3 weeks ago that she finally decided that we were going to Puerta Plata! I am leaving tomorrow for Montreal to finally reunite with her after all these years! We are very excited about this trip and can't wait to share it with all of you! We will be at the airport saturday morning around 5 am and in the air around 8ish! We should hit the beach on saturday afternoon!



We will make sure to have a drink or two or three... for all of you and take in the sun so that we can bring some back!
